I just looked at a reservation I have in October at a European Intercontinental and if I were to book today it would cost me 10,000 more points per night and it says taxes are not included. I also looked up IHG hotels ain Israel and most of them show no availability. So it seems that aside from the dynamic pricing there are two other changes, fewer rooms available and taxes no longer included. What does IHG say about that?

Booked a 7-Nt Stay at the Kimpton Seafire in Grand Cayman (70k points per Nt.) for this summer. Spent 420K IHG points for the week with the 4th night free perk of the IHG Premier Card, will get 10% back from my IHG Select Card, and another 10% via my IC Ambassador membership so the 490K point stay will end up at 336K total. IHG Points value of .005 x 336,000 = $1680 while cash price for this same week is at $4633 🙂
