Amazon has brought back another great deal where you can get $10 off your next purchase of $30+ when you pay with at least one Chase Ultimate Rewards point.

Earning Chase Ultimate Rewards points is easy with cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, even the cash back points you earn with the Chase Freedom Flex℠ or Chase Freedom Unlimited® can qualify for this deal.

Save at Amazon with Chase Ultimate Rewards points

In order to qualify for offers like this one, including Amazon credit card promotions with Amex, Citi and Discover, you’ll need to link your eligible cards through Amazon’s Shop with Points page.

To qualify for the deal you must:

• Click the “Click to activate” button found here (you’ll need to be signed in to your Amazon account)
• Spend $30 or more on eligible products sold & shipped by Amazon (not a third-party seller)
• Use at least 1 Chase Ultimate Rewards point from an eligible linked card to pay for the purchase

Once you click the activate button it will tell you whether or not you qualified for the offer. If you’re eligible, you’ll see the $10 savings applied at checkout.

One of the best parts of this deal is that you can use it to save on many third-party gift cards sold by Amazon, think Whole Foods, Starbucks, Southwest Airlines, Best Buy, Uber and more. So even if you don’t have anything to buy from Amazon right now, it could make sense to stock up on gift cards before the deal goes away.

If you don’t see the discount applied, it’s most likely because you have less than $30 worth of items sold and shipped by Amazon in your cart.

It’s also important to note that you should apply only one Chase point to your order, after that the deal becomes much less worthwhile. We normally don’t recommend using Chase points for online shopping because they’re worth 0.6 cents in this case, and we value Chase points at 1.7 cents each when redeemed for travel. But in scenarios like this, where you can get a whopping 10 dollars per point, it’s definitely worth it.

Bottom Line

This promotion is easy to take advantage of and provides huge value for just one point. It’s really a no brainer if you need something from Amazon. And if you have a Citi ThankYou point or Amex Membership Rewards earning card, they also have similar promotions to save money at Amazon.
