Here’s an opposite view, from another Tom! OMG “Chase Travel” which is just a branding of Expedia, has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. EVER. If you can book and cancel entirely online, you’re probably good. But if there are ANY irregularities you are literally facing a nightmare. Their agents are untrained, put you on hold for extended periods (because they can’t actually do or decide anything) and then, you get disconnected. I had a flight that got cancelled for COVID. Their agent actually handled the cancel and refund with the airline… and I never got the promised refund “within 72 hours.” So I had all this documentation…even so, it took literally MONTHS of phone calls, chats and emails. They said, “We are working on it” a zillion times but they really were not. Calls dropped after 45 min, and nobody called back so I had to start over. Chats drop, too. This was $500 in UR points so I was unwilling to walk away from it. Finally it was resolved, but the amount of stress and time involved made it not worth the savings. Bottom line: If you can book and cancel/change (if needed) entirely online, you’ll probably be ok. But do not use it for international or anything unusual that “might” need to be touched by the world’s worst travel agents. Run away. Seriously. Now I am using my UR points to offset groceries and dining. The prospect of booking travel with Chase/Expedia is unpalatable!!!

It may be widely similar now with Travel demand low, but pre-COVID I could only find about 25% of the rooms and United flights I was looking for. I called and complained and was told it “was not” Expedia, it just used Expedia tech.

Hit them up on Twitter. I found they (not only Chase) get back to you fairly quickly.

There is now a form you can complete for cancelling a flight on the Ultimate Rewards website. It is only for cancellation. You will receive an email confirmation once the request has been processed.

I need to cancel and/or rebook with Air Linges for a flight leaving US on April 2 and going to Naples. The ticket was booked through you and was non=refundable. However, Air Linges has a new policy which allows for re-booking. I can’t figure out website or telephone number and whether I have to rebook through this website or through
Air Linges direct. I do have a booking Number. Any advice?

Are there alternate ways to contact?

I know it recommends transferring points for business, but I want to compare.
I fly mostly small, regional flight without business and then connect usually in Denver. So when I search for business class it says none are available (since the 1 hour leg doesn’t have business). maybe I should call and ask them, because I don’t want the business leg filtered out because the 1 hour leg doesn’t have it.

Because it runs on the Expedia platform, you get all of the choices. With 1.5 points reduction, here is what that translated to. I booked 3 Air France one way tickets direct from Prague to Paris. Cash price was $645. Chase points, 43,000! Similar savings for hotel bookings. As noted, Hyatt has the only award chart where I book directly with them. All others you simply cannot beat the Chase Travel portal!

Otherwise cancelling is a nightmare when a fee is involved because I, the client, have to go through Chase company who transfers me to Chase Travel Center who is allowed to contact Expedia and then Expedia is in contact with the hotel. This is a five party process!!!

(70,000 x.015+ $300) Is the sapphire $300 credit applied when you purchase, travel or on one year anniversary??
